Originally from Delaware, Taylor moved to Jacksonville with her family when she was 15 years old and has lived here ever since! She graduated with her Bachelors of Social Work in 2020 from the University of North Florida, and went on to earn her Masters in Clinical Social Work from Florida State University in 2022 (Go Noles!). When she is not at work, you can find her at the beach, reading a good book and exploring Jacksonville.
Prior to her experience as a therapist, Taylor worked in a college setting with individuals with intellectual differences and has experience serving in a local church as a Kid’s Minister.
She has clinical experience in the school setting, working with children and adolescents K-12th grade, and has experience working in a private practice setting working with individuals of all ages. Her clinical experience includes working with individuals through a wide variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, relational concerns, self-esteem, life transitions, grief, and trauma. She is committed to growing in her work as a therapist and is always learning new skills to better help her clients.
Taylor enjoys working with, and walking alongside, individuals of all ages, especially children, teens and young adults. Her approach is person centered and trauma informed, and she takes an individualized approach to each client she works with. During clinical sessions, Taylor uses a variety of evidenced based techniques and skills to assist the client she is working with. Her passion as a therapist is to create a warm environment where clients feel safe and supported as they continue to grow and work toward their goals. Her desire is to meet client’s where they are at and honors each individual as a whole person.
Taylor has received training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She will incorporate faith into clinical sessions to whatever extent the client prefers. If you have questions about Taylor, you can reach her via email — taylor@jaxchristiancounseling.com
