We are able to bill medical insurance, to accept EAP (Employee Assistance Program) referrals, and to accept financial support by your church. If you cannot afford services from us, please contact us. We will help you identify an appropriate provider that you are able to afford.
Our fees are reviewed regularly to insure we are in-line with our peers. Currently, fees are as follows: Debbie Davis, Peggi Wegener, Stuart Whitlow and Melissa Whitlow — $190 for the initial consultation session, $150 for each 55-60 minute individual counseling session and $175 for each 55-60 minute couple/family counseling session; Taylor Giacobbe — $150 for the initial consultation, $120 for each 55-60 minute individual counseling session, $140 for family therapy. Adjustments to our fees may be discussed with your therapist.
Payment for your counseling session is expected at the time of your visit and may be handled by check, cash, or credit card.
WE ARE NOT ABLE TO BILL MEDICAID FOR OUR SERVICES.
We are able to bill Medicare. Peggi and Taylor are registered to accept Medicare. If you see another therapist, Medicare will deny the claim. If you have secondary insurance, we can then submit to your secondary insurance. None of us are able to accept Medicare Advantage plans that are HMOs. Peggi and Taylor are able to accept Medicare Advantage Plans that are PPOs.
We participate with many EAPs (too many to name). All require that you get authorization prior to your first appointment. At the time you call for your authorization, please confirm that we are a participating provider — we may be listed as Mandarin Christian Counseling Center or Peggi S Wegener EdS Inc. You will be responsible for the full fee if your EAP doesn’t cover our services.
We are IN-NETWORK for most Aetna, & United Healthcare products. (Taylor is on a waiting list to become in network with United Healthcare.) Unfortunately, we are OUT OF NETWORK for individual marketplace Aetna plans. We are certified with Tricare as a “point of service” (POS) provider. If you have Tricare Prime, you need to get a referral from your Primary Care Provider. You are responsible for paying your deductible, copayments, coinsurance and/or balance after insurance pays. We work with a 3rd party biller for Aetna and UHC claims. As a result, you will receive an email from Headway and will need to complete the requested information before we can bill in network for your services.
We are OUT-OR-NETWORK for ALL other insurance providers. Generally, this means your policy will not contribute to the cost of your counseling until you meet your out-of-network deductible. You are expected to pay full fee at the time of service and we will file claims on your behalf. Once you reach your out of network deductible, your insurance carrier will send payment to us (usually). We will apply the credit to your future sessions or refund the credit card you have on file with us.
